Hi, my name is Helena, I am a settler with Welsh and Scottish ancestry on stolen Coast Salish territory where the Hul’qumi’num and SENCOTEN speaking peoples lands meet. I am a queer, cis woman and a therapist, activist, educator, and auntie.

Your story matters to me. We are not just a mind and body, we are people inside a story, and the way you have lived yours is unique and deeply valuable. Thank you for showing up how you do. If I can help hold a space where gentleness and deep listening can wrap around what you've been through, it would be my honour. I combine narrative therapy, neuroscience, and trauma-informed studies to create a conversation where your truth and your next steps of healing are best supported. I aim to non-pathologize your experience and help remove residue left by the medical model that says there is something wrong with you.

As a cis, white, able-bodied, settler practitioner, there are limits to my knowledge and understandings of intersectional experiences. If I can support the humanizing of you, however, I am here for it and in your corner. Developing trusting relationships is essential, and trust is earned.

I am here to listen to the parts of you that you have protected so well. I am here to walk beside you through imagining what you want to do and feel next.

I have studied healing trauma through self-compassion with Gabor Mate and have clinical hypnotherapy training as well, should that be something you wish to explore.

Sending care your way,
Helena
